Changes to Written Statements
At the present time, employees who are employed for one month or more are entitled to a Written Statement setting out their terms and conditions of employment. This must be issued within two months of the start date.
This requirement has existed for many years but from April 2020 the law is changing and the written statement must be issued before the end of day one of employment.
The list of mandatory information which must be included in the written statement is also being extended.
